RESPECT.: With the Millenium Tour, what can we expect from it because it hit home for fans who are my age?
It will be energetic as well as a party vibe where people like to have fun. Keeping the crowd up and momentum. I will be all over the stage to have the crowd stay in tune.
RESPECT.: Are we expecting the chickenhead challenge while you performing?
Yes, definitely! I will have four people in each city to do the challenge, and the crowd will pick the winner.
RESPECT.: What was your reaction to when you got the call to be apart of the tour?
I was cool. It was an opportunity and I accepted and was humbled to be a part of it.
RESPECT.: Define RESPECT.
Whatever you do, you treat them like they treat you. Respect yourself by you valuing your work.
RESPECT.: How was it like working with Disturbin’ Tha Peace label during the era?
Chaka Zhulu, the owner of DTP, saw my talent at a young age and had the connections of getting me signed to the label. He discovered my song.
RESPECT.: What can you say is your most memorable moment back when releasing your previous albums and your career?
I would say my first album, Jackpot because it led me to my career as accomplishing my goals. I was in two groups, Without Warning, and 3 Strikes and it led me to earn three million within the goal of going solo and the group.
RESPECT.: With the “Right Thurr” big smash hit. Can you tell us how the record was made?
I wrote the first verse at the age of 16. I finished the song at the age of 22, at the end of 2002. It came out at the beginning of 2003, and I didn’t know it was going to be a hit because it was something I just wrote at the time.
RESPECT.: Are you working on new music?
Yes, I am working on new music. My singles “On Go” and “Sparks Fly” are out on streaming platforms.
RESPECT.: What is the new album name called? What does it mean?
The album name is ‘FreequenC.’ It is unique because I have a mystic mind. By being an entertainer, the name has a vibration and high energy. With the “C” that stands out, it has an inner level with me being an entertainer. The album should be released in the spring of this year. It has a feature from Twista. Also, the whole project is produced by me.
