RESPECT. Feature: H.E.R.

H.E.R. is one of the most intellectual singers in our prime time. The singer has got a lot to say with not even an album being released yet. By saying that R&B is still relevant, her voice has an elegant sound that we can all relate to by certain situations whether if it’s with our significant others over heartbreak or someone who can see ourselves being with them forever.

With her Vol. 1 tape, we were trying to figure out, who is this amazing singer behind the sunglasses? Instead of trying to figure out who she was, she wanted to hide her image by listening to her story that has so many emotions. From “Every Kind of Way” to “Best Part” that features Daniel Caesar, we were missing and “losing” the best essential part of the sound of music. By giving us a story full of inspirations of love, hurt and pain, H.E.R. is telling us that it is okay to be hurt by love sometimes, but it will get better as time relapse. With the track “Focus,” it is such a soulful record but tells us that your man needs to focus on me no matter what the circumstances may come.

With her recent sold-out tour, she has made two prelude six track projects for her fans, as a setback, to finish her next project that should be released later on in the year. By being nominated five times for the Grammys, H.E.R. was nominated by her duet song “Best Part,” Song of the Year and many more. With her first debut project, I knew by with her vocals and how she intertwines them with her own style, “Facts” singer would be the new face of the r&b scene. By her style and grace of putting music together to have an amazing song at the end is something we all look forward to.
