Dru Ryan, the artist who had Michele Obama doing the Shimmy Twist, is back with a brand new video “Change” from his forthcoming project “ Need You Fight”.
Dru began singing in church choirs and auditioned for the Gospel group, Big Moe and All United. Initially, he did not pass the audition, but earned a place in the group. He sang with Big Moe and All United for 2 years, before stepping away to grow as an individual artist. Around this time, he met Ricky Style, who mentored him for the next 3 years, writing, producing, arranging, and composing the “Shimmy Twist” EP.
Continuing as a solo artist, Dru Ryan is working towards the completion of his sophomore EP, which is currently set to be titled “I Need You to Fight”. Plans are to release that April 2019. He’s rebuilding his brand from the ground up this time around.
The new EP will showcase more of his creative nature, allowing him to be more authentic with the material he produces. Check out the video above and be sure to let us know your thoughts.
