Brooklyn rapper J-Thuro has been putting on for his city in a major way. As rapping is his passion, he wanted to have more a direct influence on his community and is doing just that.
The humility of J–Thuro as a leader separates him from most artists. He is always focusing on refinement & defying societal norms. Raised by a strong, single mother with Guyana roots, his memories of walking home watching his childhood friend get killed in front of his face, caused him to have a hardened heart.
But his determination to make it out of the hardcore Westbury neighborhood, propelled him to use music and wit to make his dreams come true. He has done just that!
As he shared his business & marketing plan for his newly launched music label with me, his mindset was razor sharp and thoughts poured over with excitement.
It is one thing to be a rapper, but to make a conscious effort to be a positive figure in your community is another story.
J-Thuro is now the face of his newly launched Millennial Music Rage & Independence record label, in which he is creating new opportunities for talent to excel just like himself.
