Respect: Who is King Air?
Air: I am a hard working creative from the Chicago land area, with a humble spirit. Fueled by passion and mastering my creativity with every step guided by purpose.
Respect: How would you best describe your sound?
Air: My sound is a direct reflection of the change I want to see in me, and around me. Influnced by 90’s hip hop, as well as the new age melodic nuances of today’s music industry. Finding a balance between a high level of lyricism, and a modern day new era bounce and vibe.
Respect: What makes you unique as an artist and creative?
Air: My artistry and creativity is fueled by my ever evolving journey of life. The conversion of the properties of everyday existance, provides me with endless high level creative content. Mastering my sound was significant from every perspective: Writing, recording, mixing, mastering and producing.
Respect: What is the most impactful thing you have done musically?
Air: The most impactful thing I’ve done is heal myself through my musical expression. I used my struggle as a muse – as well my glorious moments, to provide a sence of therapy through all trying times. My music became a timeless capsule of emotions, illustrated through me transcribing my most inner personal moments.
Respect: How has being a social influencer effected your musical aspirations?
Air: Being a social influencer, influenced me musically by creating and expanding the market. Social media introduced me to the business side of music, which was lacking previously. Being able to gain exposure, connect with consumers and other creators, fruitfully expanded my vision.
Respect: What can we expect from you in 2019?
Air: In 2019 I’m launching my conglomorate: Music, media and fashion. The upcoming year will bring new music, documentaries, new videos, new fashion, podcasts, live broadcasting, audio books, and a world tour.
Respect: What is one thing most people do not know about you?
Air: Performing live in front of an audience brings on the worst anxiety for me. I struggled with this early in childhood, and one day I decided to attack the anxiety instead of letting it attack me. That decision proved to be the greatest gift ever.
