It’s no secret that the biggest story surrounding XXXTentacion’s life and career was the stories of violence and abuse he inflicted upon his ex-girlfriend, Geneva Ayala. Now, Pitchfork has revealed a 27-minute recording from the Miami-Dade County state attorney’s office, which involved parties say is a confession from the late artist:
“I put my source of happiness in another person, which was a mistake initially, right? But she fell through on every occasion until now. Until I started f***ing her up bruh. I started f***ing her up because she made one mistake. And from there, the whole cycle went down. Now she’s scared. That girl is scared for her life. Which I understand.”
The person said to be XXX on the recording also spoke on other crimes committed:
“I’m on [Miami] New Times for stabbing, how many people they put in the news? They said three, it was eight.”
You can read the full story (and listen to said recording) over at Pitchfork.
