The Triumph Awards are one the cornerstones of Al Sharpton‘s National Action Network. This year, the audience was treated to the encouraging voices of the Greater Allen Cathedral Choir. The honorees — actor Terrence Howard (Empire), C.O.O. of Starbucks Rosalind Brewer, Meek Mill’s lawyer Joseph Tacopina Esq., Combs Enterprises president Dia Simms and actor Jeffery Wright (Westworld) — were all on hand to give thoughtful speeches. Tacopina Esq. in particular gave some insight into the tumultuous jailing and successful release of Meek Mill.
Below is a gallery of a the honorees (all photos were taken by Eric Boom Salvary).
