Since the beginning of the genre, cats have compared themselves to basketball, football & even tennis players, evidenced by Drake’s, “I swear sports and music are so synonymous, cause we wanna be them & they wanna be us,” line in his song, “Thank Me Later.” Tapping into the tradition, California native Brandon Gix steps in with his brand new single, “Playbook.”
Set to the tone of ambient, get infectious production, Gix recruits buddy, Darius Cru for the ride & the duo make for a compelling one. Rapping about things from staying sane, to making it happen, the two create a dark, but necessary tone of the track.
