As time winding down that Atlanta’s festival starts on Wednesday, October 3, there was a surprise mixtape that came out that features Wu-Tang Clan and 2 Chainz called Wu-Chainz: 36 Trap Houses. It was blended by the Canadian producer DJ Critical Hype by Wu’s beats and 2 Chainz rhymes.
In a statement about the mixtape, Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA wrote that “it’s a bonanza to hear 2 Chainz rip a classic Wu beat.” “He’s one of the great lyricists from the south that proved lyricism is not regional but based on talent dedication focus and experience,” he added. “Whether you’re from the Slums of Shaolin or the Wards of the South, hip-hop is our voice.”
Wu-Tang Clan will be having their own two-day festival in Atlanta. It has been almost seven years since they have returned to Atlanta grounds. The clan will include RZA, Method Man, Red Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and so many more. The limited passes are still available. When you purchase the tickets, the events are book reading and album listening, a conversation with RZA, an art gallery, a BBQ, backstage meet and greet and of course seeing the clan to perform.
But for now, peep the mixtape below and purchase passes to A3C Wu-Tang edition by clicking here.
