According to his lyrics, DLRN does what the f— he wants. And in the new video for his debut single “Just Be Chillin,” he’s flexing that rebellious spirit in a bunch of insane situations– from relaxing on the hood of his uber on the 405 freeway while rush hour traffic speeds around him, to riding a horse in his pajamas—while he remains unbothered!
DLRN has admitted in interviews that he prefers to spend his time in the streets more than in the studio…but that didn’t stop him from going in when it came to the creative vision of this video. DLRN selected visual metaphors that expressed his calm-amidst-the-chaos personality, and let us know that no matter what, he “just be chillin.” I’m on some west coast shit, just hanging / Middle fingers up for everybody that be hatin / I’m feelin like the one if you ever seen the Matrix / Turn into Liam Neeson if she tell me that she taken.
