When it comes to cities that have reputations for breeding roses out of concrete, it doesn’t get more notorious than Southside Chicago, Illinois, and Compton, California. Despite the well publicized issues in each town, classic artists keep emerging from the struggle. Already carving his own lane, navigating throughout the pressures of the industry, Chicago to Compton transplant RedAngel checks into the pages for the first time with his self-reflective new track, “Opportunity.”
Clocking in at a lengthy three-and-a-half-minutes, “Opportunity” is a lyrically packed song that sees Red touch on topics ranging from impending success, parental drug use & just the overall perils of realizing your potential. With healthy production provided by Steelz serving as the background, buoyed by harmonious keys and infectious drum kicks, “Opportunity” is a solid follow up to Red’s recent run of success. Which includes a potent single featuring Nef The Pharaoh, which made some noise both regionally and nationally.
Check out, “Opportunity” below and be sure to keep an eye on RedAngel.
