If you’re not in the know, Travis Scott’s new album is the second biggest of 2018 (putting him behind Drake) with 553,000 units sold. From Hits Daily Double:
“Cactus Jack/Grand Hustle/Epic’s Travis Scott has proven he’s a force to be reckoned with. His third proper studio album, ASTROWORLD, has officially scored the second-biggest bow of the year—behind only YMCMB/Republic megastar Drake, who was finally dethroned in week six. Scott debuts on our Top 50 Chart this week with approximately 553k. It’s worth noting that this marks Epic’s biggest bow since Sade’s Soldier of Love, which dropped in 2010 with 501k.”
Now, the Texas star has announced a new festival of the same name, which will take place in Houston’s NRG Park on November 17th. Check out what his manager David Stromberg had to say below, and stay tuned for ticket info here.
“Travis, myself and our entire Cactus Jack team couldn’t be more excited to finally reveal our plans for the first-ever Astroworld Festival. Our ultimate goal in launching this Fest is to bring some well-deserved recognition to Travis’ hometown of Houston, the place that has made him both the man and creative artist he is today. H-Town has an incredible rich cultural history, and we look forward to showcasing to residents from Travis’ own backyard and across the globe what makes this city so special.”
