TH3RD BRAIN Records Release NoMBe And Thutmose’s Collaborative EP Entitled ‘Run Wild’

Fueled off the run of a successful album release, string of epic drops and incredible syncs, TH3RD BRAIN label mates, Thutmose and NoMBe tackle rival genres to give everyone the must-listen collaborative EP of the summer entitled “Run Wild.” The revered German-Trini singer, songwriter and composer, NoMBe, who is holding his headline show at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on October 5th, banded with the viral breakout Nigerian rapper, Thutmose to record an EP that came from a series of serendipitous encounters.

After the release of NoMBe’s critically acclaimed “They Might’ve Even Loved Me” album, the two artists began a string of collaborations: First with the highly popular “Summer’s Gone” which Hunger Magazine noted, “…[Summer’s Gone] combines the sound of the Summer with a positive outlook on whatever’s coming next.” Their collaboration also brought forth the priceless hit “Run Wild” – the title track of this EP, which is also the theme song of EA Sports FIFA World Cup Game. “After the success of Run Wild and Summer’s Gone,” stated Thutmose about their kickoff of the joint EP, “people reacted so well that we thought it would be great to take a stab at it, mix both of our worlds.”

Although the EP is a push to fuse their current genres, for the genre-less NoMBe, it was simply a sonic exercise. “I come from producing Hip Hop originally, so it was actually more like going back to my comfort zone.” stated NoMBe. As Thutmose recalled, “I haven’t heard anything like this. The fact that we are smashing two genres together is a special moment.

Run Wild is about adventure & youthfulness, freedom and unapologetic living, that perfectly fits the personality of both artists. “With NoMBe, (he) pushes me to be edgier, fun and to write psychedelic lyrics.” stated Thutmose. Correspondingly, NoMBe said “Thutmose is a rockstar and from working on our first single Summer’s Gone onward, I realized that this could be a real sound.”
