Los Angeles, California is in the midst of a resurgence. Cats like Shoreline Mafia, Rucci, 03 Greedo & The Stinc Team have had the city cracking like it’s ‘94 with Snoop & Dre. Another one waiting in the wings is K Grizz, who relocated to Las Vegas, has been on an absolute tear as of late & checks in for the first time with his new tape, For My Niggaz.
Coming in at 16 tracks long, it could be easy to dismiss the project off tops as a packed out project with hopes of a hit buried in, but that’s not the case. Despite being so long, For My Niggaz is a fun, energetic ride the whole time that’s complimented by random skits that allow you to catch your breath & get ready for the next.
Tracks like, “Nerd” & “Sorry For The Wait” might be the most popular, but the best examples of what Grizz can become are found in the songs, “E-Slide,” “Direcc Message” & “Fucc It Up” all 3 of which highlight the enagmatic, authentic style that I think will make Grizz a star, sooner rather than later.
“The idea of the project speaks for itself,” says Grizz over email to RESPECT. Mag, “I do this rapping shit for my niggas, the homies. They motivate me to work hard and drop more music.”
The new music will be heard soon, but get familiar with the rising star via, For My Niggaz below.
