Queens rapper Akinyemi and Brooklyn producer Conrad Clifton have teamed up for the hit single “Arose.” This track gives me Outkast “Stankonia” vibes. There is a positive message that we can all relate to; for example, by doing what you love to do and having the support of either family or friends. A certain phrase has stood out to me that reads “That ain’t the life that I chose I’m golden.” The word “golden” stood out to me because in this life and time; we should all think and act in certain situations we go through that we are “golden.” The meaning of the rapper name, Akinyemi means a warrior that is filled with armor; and producer Conrad means a unique element of modern rap that balances out both musically and vocally. Peep the track “Arose” below and let us know what you think.
