Steven Malcolm is the hidden gem that hip-hop fans have been searching for. The Christian hip-hop artist has been seamlessly working his way to the top and hasn’t looked back once. From his music being streamed 7M+ times to featured on Spotify’s “New Music Friday,” it’s clear Steven is doing something right. But if that isn’t enough confirmation for you, Steven’s music has been featured on VH1’s Black Ink Crew and used by NBA on ESPN. Oh and let’s not forget he has performed in front of millions while on tour with Lecrae. Yes, he’s done all that and more. So when we ask y’all to pay attention to Steven’s newest release, “Fuego,” we mean it.
If you previously listened to “Fuego” then you know that the track is a hit. Between the guitar infused production and lyrics like, “I throw the deuce up to silence my enemies/Right through that potato/Lightnin up the city the reason I write for/Giving the gospel where the people be needing that light show,” it’s only right that the video matches it perfectly.
The Sam Brave-directed visual features Steven and his lady on the move, dodging from what seems a problem that might come back to haunt them. As Steven navigates to their destination, you can feel the tension between him and his lady, which leaves you asking, “What are they running from? What’s going to happen next?” And only Steven can answer those questions…fingers crossed that we get another video soon!
Check out Steven Malcolm’s new visual, “Fuego” below and make sure to take a listen to his project, The Second City – Part 2 out now.
