Despite the tragedies that took place yesterday with our genre losing two bright young men in XXXtentacion & Jimmy Wopo, the best way to remember them is by continuing to push the culture forward. We must do this with heavy hearts, but clear eyes as we attempt to keep the positive things these men did in perspective and remember them admirably. With that being said, the best way to move forward is to continue putting out great music. Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Sir V does just that with the release of his new single, “Stop Playin’”
Set to the tone of distorted self production, “Stop Playin’” is a strangely infectious track that might’ve had trouble finding a lane in the past, but somehow fits perfectly in today’s landscape. Featuring Native P, the song cleverly blends dancehall rhythms and cadences with a contemporary underground Hip-Hop beat that gives the track a crazy vibe. Personally, I can’t wait to hear more from Sir.
Check out, “Stop Playin” below and be sure to keep an eye out for Sir V.
