When it comes to motivation, perhaps nothing propels the human spirit more than fear. It could be fear of physical harm, fear of embarrassment or sometimes, it could be a fear of failure. The best artists are the ones who can flip that fear and turn it into opportunities. Coming from the Soutside of Chicago, a well known proprietor of fear, HM Bando showcases that exact quality in his new video, “Bands.”
Calling on collaborator Von Locc Da Kushman, “Bands” is a highly self reflective track in the form of a trap banger. At first glance, it could be easy to dismiss the track as superficial due to the title, but it’s far from that. Without making it seem forced, the 20-year-old Chi-Town native might’ve stumbled on a hood anthem. With a motivational hook to compliment Bando’s strong cadence and wordplay, “Bands” could find it self catching steam sooner rather than later.
Check out, “Bands” below and be sure to keep an eye on HM Bando.
