Jorja Smith is currently gearing up for the release of her new album Lost & Found (pre-order here). Following the Stormzy-assisted single “Let Me Down,” the UK singer teams up with director Olivia Rose to drop a new visual for “Blue Lights.” The black-and-white clip doesn’t feature Jorja; instead, some of her notable male counterparts — Jaykae, Mist, Despa Robinson, Dapz On The Map, Mike Skinner and more — do take center stage. She explains:
I wanted to capture men/boys of Walsall and Birmingham from all different walks of life doing everyday activities to show that the stereotypes we are bombarded with are misleading and, ultimately, harmful… I chose Walsall as the setting for the video as that is where I am from and where I drew my inspiration from when writing the song.
