Still riding the powerful momentum of his latest project nine 1 Retro Starkey is preparing for the release of the deluxe version for his buzzworthy mixtape. Andre “RETRO” Starkey refuses to let his rich glow-up be overlooked and is making an effective effort to prove that he has what it takes. After making some serious waves with his popular single “G Like” that was released last year, the Detroit native made more headlines once he hit the stage for BET Matters, appeared at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash Block Party, and was named Atlanta’s Freshman Class list of 2017. Now, the artist is back to making headlines with his new single “Money Code Talk.” In the record Retro puts us on to the ulitimate code to his success over soothing synths and a trap-like bass line. Throughout the song, RETRO lists a handful of code words that he attributes to his rise to the top. Those attributes include his girl and the artists who’ve inspired him thus far like Kendrick Lamar, Boosie Badass and even Cardi B.
The Deluxe version of nine1 holds 17 tracks including “Vibe” “I Love Ny” and “Bounce 3x.” The project will hit the internet on April 27 via his nine1 label. You can pre-order the album now.
