Just as Nicki Minaj returned to the fold with new music, it seems that off-the-court issues continue to slow down any momentum toward a new, successful album.
First, I must acknowledge the two new tracks from the Rap veteran titled “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz,” which see her back on her lyrical bully:
Got it? Good. So, at the same time this release goes down, somebody — Akademiks, perhaps — leaked Nicki’s original verse on “Motorsport,” which may or may not contain a shot at collaborator Cardi B:

“If Cardi the QB, I’m Nick Lombardi…”
That’s where things get interesting. In addition to this tweet, Nicki also appeared on Apple Music with Zane Lowe, where she tried to explain her frustrations with the song changes and Cardi B directly:
With Cardi B, she’s done exactly what she should’ve done… She’s just gone full steam ahead and congratulations to her. The only thing with Cardi that really, really, really hurt my feeling was the first interview she did after ‘MotorSport’ came out. I remember when I first came in the game, if a female of that stature had done a feature with me on it, I would only be singing their praises and saying thank you.
The first interview she did after “Motorsport” came out, it just really hurt me, cause she looked so aggravated and angry and the only thing that she kept saying was, ‘Oh I didn’t hear that, I didn’t hear that verse, she changed her verse.
Very interested to hear Cardi’s (and Quavo‘s) response to this one.
