The album “KIWMP” released on April 21, 2018. This is Rich-P’s first full length LP executively produced by his own father. Leading up to the release fans who follow Rich-P’s Instagram had an opportunity to his private listening party.
From being featured on a High Times Magazine buzzingartist tour, “Smoke More Tour”, Rich-P’s latest album is based on the origins of Hip Hop while rapping over timeless production. Much of the production has a mid to late-90’s feel. Rich-P is accepting the challenge of stepping out the box of today’s trap leading production in exchange for delivering a body of work that can rival some of the top lyrical based artist in the industry.
The ever growing social media fan base led Rich-P to being featured on Independent Dope. They proclaim Rich P will“take the torch from Jay?” Yeah, you read that right! VH1 knows a Fashion God when they see one! Wendy Williams referred him “I know when someone is interesting!”
Rich P is Hip Hop! He leads off with his single “I Do For” produced by Tennessee’s producer Myke Stallone, who has produced for the likes of Big Krit, Yellow Wolf, and Curren$y. His follow up, “How Bad Do You Want It”, was well received by his fans. His freestyle videos keeps viewers engaged, even encouraging fans to “tag funk flex”. In an effort to reset and get in touch with his hometown of Queens, this album was recorded and mixed at what is now Signature Soundz Studios, previously owned by the late Jam Master Jay.
Rich P’s classic, lyrical style with a modern twist is expected to captivate listeners who yearn for flow and bars. The album is filled with whimsical twists on wordplay, finessing & outwitting those who’ve tried before him, Rich-P is here for the long haul! He ain’t goin’ nowhere, but UP!
