19-year-old rapper The Coldest has released a dope, new visual for his single “Mona Lisa.” As a conscious lyricist hailing from the legendary city of Montgomery, Alabama, this young man knows the importance of following your dreams.
In this video, Coldest’s subject matter goes from being King Arthur to not having a father. Most importantly, he rhymes about how hard his momma hustled to give him a better life. “Mona Lisa” is an ode to his mother, the biggest influence in his life.
Directed By Tre, this visual shows The Coldest rapping while sitting on a table as different images of little boys with their mothers flash across the screen.
The Coldest does an excellent job of sharing his story of being raised by a single mom, a story many people in America have. According to Single Mother Guide, 17.2 million children under the age of 18 are being raised without a father.
The love and support his mother shows him is the exact reason why he makes music. To The Coldest, his mother is a work of art just like “Mona Lisa.”
