As the official Love and Harmony cruise is set to sail [March 24th-29th] in celebration of Carribbean culture, RESPECT. linked up with the world renown reggae sensation Beenie Man –whose set to headline the event.
The singer is referred to as the world’s “King of Dancehall” and has been in the industry since a young age. He first debuted as a dominant artist in the early 1990s – and still continues today. With international stardom he has a chart topping legacy and has so many new announcements for 2018 & beyond. Q: How Would You Describe Your Overall Music Influence & Career?
A: “My music is very influential because of my background and where the music comes from. Me as an individual I feel an infinite influence, I’ve been in this business since the 1970’s. I show longevity and I show work ethic. I’m focused on music making and making myself a positive and powerful influence.
Q: How Do You Feel About The Impact Of Caribbean Music On Today’s Industry?
A: “It’s so impressive because we in Jamaica are the original, speaking of the Universe we are the most influential and powerful. We are the creators where the most energy exists. Jamaica is where everything is. Our influence is the earth. I don’t know how to explain it but Jamaica is the most positive place on earth, in a sense our music is for the mass.”
Q: What Do You Have Planned For The Love & Harmony Cruise?
A: ” I don’t know how much I could tell but I am coming with everything.”
Q: Can You Share Overall Your Plans For 2018?
A: “I have an album coming next. More movies too, merch, and more things.”
