Travis Scott has been receiving many blessings these past few months. He welcomed his daughter Stormi Webster and he is still riding the momentum of his collaborative mixtape Huncho Jack with Quavo. On Saturday (February 10), Travis was awarded the key to Missouri City, Texas. A town in Houston he grew up in and attended school. His award was presented by Mayor Allen Owen and he was also told that February 10 is now officially known as Travis Scott Day.
In the video, Travis was clearly hyped and honored to receive this news from his hometown. After receiving the key, Travis gave a brief speech at the end of the presentation saying, “This is better than any award show I’ve ever been to.” He then shared, “My only job is just to inspire kids to be the best they can be, to reach their ultimate height. Everybody has a dream and everybody can do it.”
Check out the full speech below and watch his performance of “Butterfly Effect.”
