“The New Message” is a song inspired by the opening track The Message,” from Nas’ 1996 album, “It Was Written.”
Buffalo, New York MC, J-Batters’ objective is to give you that gritty, grimy East side, Buffalo flow.
In a short clip at the beginning of the video, Batters acknowledges Nas as on of his favorite MC’s.
J-Batters is currently gearing up to release his EP, titled #JUSTICE4Batters, which proclaims to be a classical piece of art.
The title of this release is based off of J-Batters’ past legal issues. In 2012. J-Batters was arrested on a drug, guns and gang related rico (racketeering) charge, in which Batters was allegedly named as the leader of the Notorious Bailey Boys Gang.
Since then, J-Batters has been releasing an archive of music, which relates to going through the struggles of being brought up in the streets of Buffalo, New York.
The EP is set to release early March 2018.
