Overcoming a broken heart, just three weeks prior to her Apollo debut, which she won, Haley’s father was murdered. This tragic event inspired her song and discusses the rarely looked upon position of the child in the situation. The video was put together on behalf of any girl who has ever been adversely affected by the absence of her her father for whatever reason.
