UPDATE: In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Mensa has revealed an alternate video for “We Could Be Free,” which can be seen in full via Apple Music. You can check out a preview of the newly-released clip below.
Fans of Vic Mensa‘s debut album The Autobiography will be happy to check this out: the Chicago emcee has recently released a lyric video for the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted single “We Could Be Free,” which sees him in Palestine (source):
I wanted to make a video to show solidarity with people struggling against oppression all over the world… I took scenes from the military occupation of a village I visited in Palestine and juxtaposed them with racial violence in America to show how similar our struggles are and imagine a world without division.
Check out that visual above.
