New York was on full tilt last night while Lil Uzi Vert was in town. A Very Uzi Xmas is sweeping through the city for back to back shows at Terminal 5, one of NY’s premiere concert venues. RESPECT was in attendance for the first of the two shows so you could live the experience through us.
New York’s own Austin Millz got the party started. The Harlem DJ played all the right tracks to have the room flooded with energy. A opening performance by Lil Skies, a new up and coming artist from Pennsylvania, followed. Skies also brought the energy to the stage. The SoundCloud famous rapper played some of his hits including “Red Roses” which has nearly 10 million streams.
As time passed, the crowd grew more rowdy and restless. The chants of “Uzi! Uzi! Uzi!” filled the room. Finally, it was time to give the fans what they had been waiting for. Fresh off Lil Uzi’s release of Love Is Rage 2: Deluxe Edition the “XO Tour Llif3” rapper tore the building up playing all his newest hits including “Sauce It Up”, ”The Way Life Goes“, and even older cuts like DJ Carnage’s “WDYW”. 3 upside-down crosses made for a unique lighting fixture that lit up the venue while Uzi bounced around the stage and even climbed to the upper level VIP area. The best part of Lil Uzi Vert shows is watching how he interacts with the people. Always crowd surfing, taking cell phones to record Snapchat videos and taking pictures with his fans is really not something you typically get from most artists. If you purchased tickets to a Lil Uzi Vert concert or plan to in the near future, it’s money well spent if you ask us.
