Once a professional basketball player, music is now the strong focus for Jarvis “JG” Garner. With just a short time on the music scene, JG has already developed his own style and his own sound — a versatile flow delivering a variety of cultural classics dealing with his real life stories, experiences and ups and downs. His music is simply as he quotes it: “real life situations told as inspiration or motivation for the next.” Although he is steadily picking up a buzz in the streets, he hasn’t quite put his stamp on the game just yet, but he definitely intends to after he releases his second mixtape Second Quarter , set to be released Winter 2018.
Second Quarter is a follow up to his debut project First Quarter which featured singles such as “Taxes,” “Flippin” and “Description” to name a few. Add to that a list of new street bangers such as “Chances & Risks,” “All Day,” “Tupac” and — the anthem that’s buzzing around the state of Arkansas — “Spike Lee,” which is a collaboration with JG and his longtime partner LaQuientin “Que” Miles, both of whom are a part of DreamTeam Global. To go along with his quality visuals and very unique style of music, JG is definitely a prospect for the music world to keep its eye on.
