New York rapper Trav got his big break touring and affiliating with 50 Cent, but is now striking out on his own. With his ear to the streets, he was the one who called up Bobby Shmurda for his jailhouse freestyle earlier this year. With a new album said to be dropping next month, Trav is continuing his momentum with a new visual for “Layin Low,” which features assistance from Blac Youngsta and Don Q.
“Layin Low” is rooted in a gritty NY street aesthetic, but Memphis’s Blac Youngsta feels quite at home on it. Over hard hitting snares and aggressive trap production, all three rappers flex on the haters and promise to duck the feds as they do their dirt. “Layin Low” is the first single off QRAK (pronounced “crack” but standing for “Queens Raised A King”), which drops December 8th and features Tory Lanez, Lil Durk, and more, with production coming from Jahlil Beats.
