It should go without saying: T-Pain is definitely in the history books, (much in part) thanks to his innovative use of AutoTune and its effects on urban music — far greater than any Migos flow. Unfortunately, it seemed as if the culture’s dilution of AutoTune (as well as a certain Jay-Z track) left T-Pain in a bit of a quagmire: he hadn’t gifted his fans with an album since 2011’s poorly-sold Revolver (nor has he produced a chart-topping hit since that time).
Now, T-Pain is finally back with a new album titled Oblivion, which sees appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Wale, Blac Youngsta, Chris Brown and more. Stream it below…hopefully, T-Pain can continue to deliver consistent tunes moving forward.
