LA upstart Mothoro has been hard at work on the underground rap scene for some time now, and his new album is another step in the right direction. It’s the second installment of the Thorolyfe series, and he made sure he stepped the bar up again for it.
Laced with only 12 tracks, he makes sure that not a single song is out of place. Mothoro is behind the boards on almost all the tracks, creating a very cohesive sound. While he’s currently a college student in Virginia, he he doesn’t ditch his LA roots one bit. His hometown is evident throughout the music. The blend of rapping and singing he does is to be admired here as well. Stream the tape below.
