Boy…the spotlight is definitely on New York this Thanksgiving weekend (much in part thanks to Harlem, but Fabolous and Jadakiss certainly contributed as well). Now, Jay-Z gifts the masses three very dope new visuals from his 4:44 project.
Below lies cinematic clips for “Legacy” (inmates discussing the moments before a jailbreak), “Smile” (a powerful love story presumably based around Jay’s mother, Gloria Carter, who’s featured on the song) and “Marcy Me” (the second video to be based as Marcy Projects in Brooklyn, viewed mostly from the prejudiced eyes of a police chopper). Definitely very next level as far as music videos go, for sure.
[NOTE: Hov himself doesn’t appear anywhere in these, unless you count his possible depiction as a child.]
