What a time, what a year! Goldlink’s “Crew” is nominated for a Grammy and we couldn’t be happier.
Yesterday morning (November 28) the recording academy released their list of nominations for the 2018 annual Grammy Awards. The record featuring Goldlink’s DMV recording artist comrades Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy was released December 16th of last year and has been bubbling nationwide since. It is crowned #1 on urban radio, was recently performed live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and the music video itself has amassed over 47 million views. With just little promotion and stellar production from Teddy Walton, the 2016 RCA records signee is up for an award in the Best Rap/Sung Performance category alongside Jay-Z, SZA, Kendrick Lamar, and 6LACK. Don’t forget to tune in January 28th on CBS to see if he takes home the gold gramophone trophy.
You can view the list in full over at the GRAMMYs official website.
