You know we’re doing good, and hip-hop is in a great place when two veteran emcees can partner up to deliver quality music in today’s microwave era. Fabolous and Jadakiss have had this collaborative effort in the works since last year, and Freddy Vs. Jason was indubitably one of the most highly anticipated projects of 2016-2017.
The title, Friday on Elm Street, seems more suitable as both lyricists join forces to trade verses over hard-hitting production from Swizz Beatz, Sean C and LV, Neo Da Matrix, Ted Smooth, Reazy Renegade, and one of my personal favorites, Grade A,(“Ground Up’), along with other dope beatsmiths. The project definitely does not disappoint, and both Fab & Jada came correct with the bar-work.
You’ll also catch guest appearances from Future, Teyana Taylor, Styles P, French Montana, Swizz Beatz, and even Yo Gotti and Jeezy came through for the “Stand Up (Remix)”. Be sure to give it a spin at the top of the post via Apple Music, and drop us your thoughts in the comments section.
