XO-affiliated 88GLAM, a duo comprised of Derek Wise and 88 Camino, just dropped their eponymous debut today, along with a video for the NAV-assisted “Bali.”
Over hazy, trapped out production courtesy of A-list beatsmiths Murda Beatz and WondaGurl and in-house producers VillaBeatz and AlexOnWeed, the two Toronto natives craft a captivating collection of noirish late night Rap-n-B jams. Wise’s authoritative baritone meshes brilliantly with Camino’s emotive tenor, painting the album’s neon-lit soundscapes with compelling rhymes. In addition to NAV’s guest appearance, The Weeknd also makes a cameo in the video for project intro “12.”
