Ty Dolla $ign is known as being a collaborator and loves to make music. This is definitely the case with his 20-track project Beach House 3, which was released on Friday and features Future, The-Dream, Lil’ Wayne, Pharrell, Jeremih and many more. He stated that he wanted this album to show his singer side, as we — the fans — saw more of his Hip-Hop-esque stylings on his previous album Campaign. The new album brings back a ‘90s era vibe, which was led by a few notable singles pre-release.

The first of those aforementioned singles was the Wayne and Dream-assisted “Love U Better,” which did its job of building excitement toward the third Beach House installment. Ty$ also explained the meaning of the series’ title in a recent VICELAND interview:
When he was with his family, his parents took him and his siblings to a beach community and reminisced on how it’ll look and which room they will get and once his parents broke up, it stuck with him. When he put out his first mixtape, House on the Hills, it made him want a ‘Beach House.’ So he kept the dream alive and started releasing a series of them. ‘Beach House’ means success because everything he dreamed about, it happened!
