XXXTentacion has thrown so many off with his musical versatility, you’d almost forget the hard-hitting cut that brought him to the forefront in the first place. “Look At Me,” XXX’s first true hit by most standards, has finally received a visual…and it’s sure to bring more controversy to the already problematic-yet-extremely-talented emcee.
The clip — which XXX created alongside JMP — starts off with the Floridian star in the heavens before ambushing an instructor in a classroom. Then things really get interesting: the video then switches to another track titled “Riot,” and — in addition to strong reminders of Emmett Till and Philando Castile, among other recent events of civil unrest — fans now get to see the hanging scene that XXX teased via his social media. And that’s not even the most striking part of this 5-and-a-half minute offering (I’m not even going to spoil it, but feel free to give your thoughts in the comments).
Watch “Look At Me” above, get your popcorn and prepare for the fireworks. In related news, XXXTentacion also recently responded to accusations of domestic violence, which sees denies — you can read more on that here.
