PARTYNEXTDOOR is certainly applying major pressure with all the new music he’s rolling out. On the heels of several loose drops, PND teams up with Jadakiss for his latest release, “Cartier.” It’s a low key cut that you could vibe to, with PND kicking things off with a subdued, yet high tempo flow. Over a mellow instrumental, the OVO artist sings about his expensive shades and his self-reliance. “Cut ’em off like Korean barbecue scissors,” he sings. “I wear expensive Cartier frames, they don’t see the vision / I could do it all by myself, no assistance / And I could do it all by myself, with no assistance.”
By now, if you don’t know Jadakiss’ name, there’s not much we can do to help you. The man with the most iconic laugh in hip-hop works surprisingly well with PND, despite a massive difference in musical demeanor. Party does set the bar pretty high with a solid lead-off verse, but Jada switches up his usual style and delivers a complimentary performance.
