Jay Salvatierra, better known as Jay Savior, is a Hip-Hop artist that was forced from early on to experience culture shock and the art of reinventing yourself. Born and raised near Yankee Stadium in the Bronx to then having a complete restart in high-school in the suburban area of Westchester, Savior had to adjust quick. Not wanting to fall victim to the social pressure of following your peers, Jay decided to distance himself and re-evaluate what he wanted. He chose to pass up on a promising baseball career and diverted his interest to music. As an avid fan of 50 Cent, Amy Winehouse, Eminem, Kurt Cobain, and Andre 3000, Jay found his passion in writing and studying his favorite artists.
The New York-native decided to return back to where it all started and began recording in the Bronx. In 2015, he released a slew of singles such as “Going Up” co-produced by Aidan Roy / WondaGurl and “Through The Summer” on SoundCloud, which garnered buzz locally. His 2016 single “Stamina” made waves and was picked up by NY’s nationally rated radio station, Power 105.1. Gearing up the release for his debut project “Zone-Free,” Jay now returns with a new single entitled “Meet Again.”
“Meet Again” is a Hip-Hop / Pop crossover track. The concept of the track is based on a previous relationship Jay Savior had, where he looked to get closure after a break up. They then “Meet Again” after the break-up, and Jay begins to realize he doesn’t have the same feelings for his ex since being more focused on himself.
Check out the new record at the top of the post, also featuring Azi and be on the look-out for “Zone-Free,” slated to release in Winter 2017, early 2018.
