This year, OTF leader Lil Durk has been on the verge of having the industry in the palm of his hand. He’s linked up with some of Hip-Hop’s biggest names in the game today including Quavo, Gucci Mane, Lil Yachty, Young Thug & more to add to his extensive resume. Now, he releases his Jeezy and Future-assisted new single “Goofy.”
“Goofy” sounds exactly like what you’d expect a collaboration between this trio of artists to sound like. Coming in over an instrumental with retro arcade game synths, Future handles his essential hook duties for the track. If you didn’t get this from the artwork, the ‘Goofy’ they’re referencing is Disney’s iconic dog-like cartoon. Like the lames Hendrix is dissing throughout the song, the character is hopelessly “Goofy.”
Both Lil Durk and Jeezy take over the verses, flexing cars, watches, jewelry and everything else in between. It’s the perfect street record to throw on in the car as you ride out the final fumes of Summer. With both Jeezy and Future on the song, it’s bound to create bigger waves for Durk. Looks like we have a reason to look forward to his upcoming Signed To The Streets 3 project that he announced via Twitter.
