Caliph‘s new song “How Do You Know” is not only an ode to a woman but a glimpse into a much deeper story. While Trump’s presidency offers a threat to Caliph’s legal status and all other DACA recipients, “How Do You Know” questions the country’s division and forces Caliph to think back to his home country, Africa. The second single from his upcoming Fall project, Trespassing, displays the perfect amount of symbolism and emotion needed in the music of today.
