Rising star AyHay is definitely someone to watch musically. I’m personally amazed by his versatility: the South Londoner can go from spitting dope bars on one of the toughest platforms out (Team Backpack) to delivering catchy, fun cuts that’ll set well on the radio or nearest dancefloor. Case in point: check out AyHay’s new track and visual for “On My Life”…the colorful clip was co-directed by AyHay and Pia Nara Thorsen in Norway and sees the artist matching the hippie-esque vibes with melodic flows over production provided by SLeh Beats. He also explains the creation of the track (via press release):
It started off as a freestyle and when I listened back I was going to change the verses to make them more complex in terms of lyrics and flow but they were just too catchy to change. I sent my friend a demo version and asked if I should change the verses and he said ‘No, it’s perfect, don’t change a thing!’
Enjoy “On My Life” above, which is said to belong on AyHay’s forthcoming EP Wait. You can also check out more from him here.
