Stormzy has been on a musical tear since the release of his critically-acclaimed album Gang Signs And Prayer, which has seem him leading the charts and selling out stages all over the planet (still waiting for that American tour!). Now, his latest visual for album cut “Cigarettes And Kush” sees him (sort of) flexing his acting chops.
The Daps-directed clip for the track — which features Kehlani, who doesn’t appear in the video — plays like an alternate version of Power, with the South London emcee starring as a marijuana dealer…he falls in love with a copper who unexpectedly finds herself involved in his case. It’s not as riveting as, say, Stormz’ role in last year’s Brotherhood, but it pulls at your heart strings nonetheless.
