August 8th, 2015: the music world stopped as it lost a legend in Brooklyn MC Sean Price. At the time, Price was working on his mixtape titled Songs In The Key Of Price which was released, as scheduled, on August 21st, 2015.
On the two-year anniversary of his passing, Duck Down Music released his first posthumous album Imperius Rex. The album has 16 tracks and features Hip Hop greats such as Prodigy (R.I.P.), Styles P, Raekwon, DOOM and others. Not to mention, it has production from the likes of Harry Fraud, Alchemist and more.
The album is led with the hard-hitting title track “Imperis Rex,” followed by “Dead or Alive” — which features none other than Bernadette Price. Always one to keep some of his content light-hearted and funny, with this release comes a video which satires the Harambe gorilla fiasco where an untamed gorilla is held in a neighborhood zoo. The video features another famous Brooklynite by the name of Michael Rapaport as well as Bernadette Price being the zoo keeper.
