Maryland native Logic uses the 2017 VMA stage for good when performing his moving record “1-800-273-8255″ alongside Alessia Cara and Khalid.
The 27-year-old artist recently shared the music video for the phone numbered titled song. In the intense video he takes the viewers into the very complicated life of a suicidal teen. On Aug.27 the song ascends to new heights when it makes its way to the VMA big stage for a powerful performance dedicated to those contemplating suicide.
As the VMA performance comes to an end, the camera pans to people wearing suicide hotline shirts. Logic then leaves the teary crowd with an inspiring speech saying, “I want to thank you all so much for giving me a platform to talk about something that mainstream media doesn’t want to talk about.”
The standout record from the Everybody album is truly something the world needs to hear. If you haven’t already viewed the performance and music video, we have it for you below!
