JaJa Kisses is looking to make waves in 2017 (as she has already). Last week, the West London songstress delivered her debut EP Young Fashioned, a collection of airy, dreamlike cuts made especially unique thanks to JaJa’s lilting vocals. Upon initial listen, it’s easy to join her with others in today’s alt-nouveau R&B renaissance (think genre-bending, experimental peers like SZA, H.E.R. or The Internet‘s Syd); regardless, JaJa Kisses is looking to make a stamp in music all her own.
Adding to the new project, we also get to check out a new music video for the track “Zoning,” which sees production from Miles Francis. The BER-LIN created clip is a dark-yet-colorful, haze and smoke-filled stream that sticks to the minimal, keeping the mysterious JaJa as the center of attention — it’s the perfect match for the delicate number it accompanies, and a perfect visual introduction for those new to the artist (as we are).
Enjoy both “Zoning” and Young Fashioned in full below, and look out for plenty more from JaJa Kisses in the near future.
