For most who are unfamiliar with the music scene in Boston, MA, it’s about time you start paying attention with the growing talent. Maverik is one artist who’s just started to get his legs off the ground and been making his mark slowly in Boston. From starting his career as an on-air personality on Boston’s most listened to radio station Jam’n 94.5 to a recording artist is quite a career change. With the release of his newest music video for “Whoa” (featuring Samantha J), Maverik is giving us a truly different Boston sound. Giving off the island vibe on this record, Maverik is reaching new heights and breaking barriers.
Keeping it within the inner circle, production comes from Boston producer Gregory Weekes; visuals were done by NorthShore’s own Martin Cruz and the included photos come courtesy of Mike ‘Guapske’ Lopez…it all puts further emphasis on the classic phrase “teamwork makes the dream work.” The release of his latest music video for “Dangerous” (featuring and also produced by Weekes) shows Maverik’s willingness in ensuring that his catalog is strong and deeply rooted…it’s safe to say that he’s sure to stand out among other local artists. Boston has proven to be full of surprises this year, from its athletic teams to its entertainers, and I’d have to say we come back better and better every year.
