Meet Justina Ravi- an international Pop/Contemporary artist with a strong, angelic, soulful voice. Justina is a native of Australia and has been involved in the performing arts scene since she was 6 years old. She first discovered the guitar at 12 years old and learned Taylor Swift’s song “Teardrops On My Guitar”. From that point on, Justina found her passion of the guitar with her singing voice and still thanks Taylor Swift for it. In addition to the guitar, her favorite instruments to write to include the piano and ukulele.
Justina gets her creative energy during the oddest hours and writes her songs in the middle of the night. She gets inspired by personal experiences such as being bullied and self-esteem issues. Justina also gets inspired to write songs for the youth dealing with adversities from tragic events such as the recent Manchester attack.
Justina grew up in Australia and was the music captain at her high school (St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School, Perth). She received high recognition and was frequently commended for her musical and performance abilities. She was honored a music achievement award called ‘Music Colours’ and was awarded a music scholarship.
Justina started her Facebook page in the middle of 2016 and has over 200,000 views on one of her videos. A bulk of her fans are from USA, Australia, and UK with an age range of 14-25.
Justina’s goal with her music is to inspire people to be optimistic, driven in life and fearless. Her first online single Is called “Try” and her objective with the song is to inspire people to be resilient in the face of adversities and failures. Justina has great admiration and respect for veterans and was adamant about conveying that in her music video for “Try”. She will be appearing on the single “Sunday Afternoon With Rakim’s Vinyl Collection” from the highly-anticipated album ‘Jazz’ by Jonathan Hay and Mike Smith, that features major musicians that have worked with such legendary artists as Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones.
